Women’s Morning Fellowship:
The Women’s Morning Fellowship group will meet on
Thursday, May 14th, at 9:30 a.m. at the fellowship hall. Hostesses are Mary
Simpson, Carolyn Kern, and Cathy Trimble. Carolyn will have a devotion. All
women of the church are encouraged to attend for a time of fun, eats, and
fellowship!
Ladies Day Out:
It’s time to flutter in,
slow down and rest. Take a day for yourself and come to the 2nd Annual Ladies
Day Out. Don’t let it flutter on by. Women, come flutter with us on Saturday,
May 9th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Just flutter on in
for a fashion show, entertainment and lunch. Donations are accepted for lunch,
but not necessary. Please RSVP Pam Click, Patti Schmidt, or Teresa Crumpler.
Ladies’ Fellowship:
Ladies, please mark your calendars for this Thursday the
12th at
9:30 a.m. for the Ladies’ Coffee at the fellowship hall. ALL
women are welcome. Little ones can be entertained by a video in the youth
Sunday School class area. Bring your concerns and your praises to share. Bring
a friend that you are encouraging to come to church! (Please note that we have
moved our meetings to the SECOND Thursday of each month.)
Church-Wide Garage Sale:
A church-wide garage sale is being organized by the
Women’s Fellowship group. Clean those closets out and bring your items to the
fellowship hall on July 13th, 14th or 15th. We will post a work schedule for
volunteers in early July.
Healthy Living Group:
The Healthy Living Group is “reviving” its meetings
beginning this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. We will begin a
study of the book of John (bring your Bible) following an exercise period led by
Carrie Bowser. We will meet each Tuesday for Bible study and exercise. On each
Thursday, we will have exercise and fellowship time. Everyone is welcome. If
there are any questions, please contact Ruth Price, Carrie Bowser, or Cathy
Trimble.
Festival of Marriage:
The Festival of Marriage this year is October 2-4 at
Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, MO. Keynote speakers are Dale and Jena
Forehand, founders of Stained Glass Ministries, whom you may remember from a
previous Festival of Marriage. If you’d like to go, you will need to register
with LifeWay at 1-800-254-2022 or register online at www.lifeway.com/fom. Cost
is $129.00 plus accommodations. You will also need to make reservations at
Tan-Tar-A at 1-800-826-8272. Brian and Becky will not be able to go this year,
so you will need to work out your own travel arrangements.
